Hand Carved Code was started in April 2009, inspired by a passion for software development and a need to fill a gap on the iPhone: a birthday-reminder application that worked well and was easy to use. The Greek philosopher Plato was right when he so wisely said, “Necessity is the mother of invention,” because this need resulted in the birth of Occasions!
