Occasions: Birthdays & More! Support

About 7 years ago, we came out with a new and revamped version of Occasions called Occasions+ (now Occasions 3) that included additional alert options, iPad support, calendar integration, and other features. At this time we also stopped selling the original version of Occasions.

Why won't Occasions run on iOS 11 and later? When we stopped selling and supporting the original Occasions 7 years ago, it was a 32-bit app. In iOS 10, warnings would be given for 32-bit apps warning that they wouldn't work in future versions of iOS, and with iOS 11 and later, 32-bit applications cannot run.

How can I get my data out of Occasions and into Occasions 3? Usually Occasions will save the birthday information within your Contacts and not the app itself, so if this is the case, you should still see the birthdays in Occasions 3 when it syncs with your contacts. If it's custom entries you're after, and you're running iOS 10 or lower, this is easy, as there is an Export to Occasions+ option in Occasions. You can access this by going to Occasions > Settings > Export to Occasions+. If you're running iOS 11 or later, please email us as we have put together a beta release of an Occasions export app to be a bridge for people that have custom entries and who are running iOS 11 or later so that they may transfer custom entries from Occasions to Occasions 3. This app is a simple app that installs in place of Occasions that has an “Export to Occasions 3” button. If interested, please let us know, and we'll add your email to our beta list and send you instructions on installing the beta and exporting the custom entries to Occasions 3.
